It's that time of the year again! We walk around Benidorm during the Christmas season, starting in the marina area filled with festive market stalls. Along the way, we check out popular street food like churros, empanadas, and roasted chestnuts.
The walk continues along the boulevard, where you’ll find handmade crafts, holiday decorations, and plenty of seasonal atmosphere. We also explore Benidorm’s main shopping street to show what the city feels like at Christmas, and finish with a look at the ice rink to see how it fits into the holiday vibe.
Who knew that today was also Día Mundial del Aperitivo (World Appetizer Day)! We'll someone did because I'd already completely forgotten that this day was extra special... Anyway, this time we're walking around Villajoyosa (La Vila) again, but this time from the tram bridge toward the beach. We're showing you what some of the outskirts of Villajoyosa looks like around this time of year.
Come join us and watch our YouTube video in Villajoyosa on these final days of summer!
This time we're visiting Terra Natura Benidorm! It's a place we've come to for many years, but each time it's a special occasion. It's no exception this time either. We always enjoy the park, even though they have now demolished a good portion of the Zoo to make way for Pirate Island. It's (in addition to Magic Natura), yet another bungalow park area for visitors who enjoy a water park and a zoo close by. Consequently, the zoo is a lot smaller now that they got rid of Europe section, but it's still a great place to visit. Come join us as we walk around this magnificent place called Terra Natura Benidorm!
Warm, sunny weather! Beaches and palm trees! Yes, summer has arrived in Spain, and we're in Albir this time filming it all. Also, we take a walk along the boulevard and go to the open-air Roman museum in Albir. It's not very big, but still, it's really nice to see the excavation site. After that, we're going to take a walk to the Serra Gelada National Nature Park. If you've been following our channel, you probably recognize it from the nature walk we did in the fall of last year (when we went all the way to the Albir lighthouse and back!). This time, it's about 36 degrees Celsius, and we don't feel like walking to the lighthouse again, but we do see some interesting sights in the area. The picture below was taken from the park and overlooks Albir. In the distance, we can see Altea Hills, and to the far right (behind the trees) is Calpe.

In this video, we're going back to a sunny Guadalest! This time we're taking the opposite route from Callosa d'en Sarrià. Last time we were in Guadalest it was on a gloomy and rainy day in November of last year. It was nice to be able to film this time in the sun! Also, it was great to see the reservoir of Guadalest full again, thanks to the heavy rain we had earlier this year!
Here are some more photos of that day...
The reservoir looks much better now after all the rain we had.
View from the cemetery of Guadalest.
Virgin Mary in the Orduña House (Museum).
A hallway in Casa Orduña.
The square in Guadalest.
Strolling through the shopping streets of Guadalest...
A view from atop...
On the way back home, we stopped by this wonderful local market. Unfortunately, our microphones died, otherwise we would've filmed a little longer. But we got some good footage. Keep watching till the end to see it.

What's it like in La Nucia, Spain? Well, let's find out! Join us on our walk through this magical Spanish village in the mountains. We're also investigating a waterfall named Font de la Favara, another place we didn't know existed until we did some research about some things to see in this town. This video was actually shot over the course of 2 days,... reason for this is mentioned in the video... ehm. Here are some pictures of that day in La Nucia!

For the first time ever, we visited San Fernando Castle in Alicante! The castle, also referred to as Sant Ferran (Valencian) looks out over the city of Alicante, and served as a defense against the French back in the day. In the distance, we can see the much bigger castle Santa Barbara, which is a well-known tourist location. The San Fernando castle in Alicante has two entrances, a main entrance (which is really steep!), and 'back entrance', that offers stunning views of the city of Alicante! Join us on our walk to the castle on YouTube!
Usually, we visit Playa del Arenal-Bol and Playa Cantal Roig in Calpe. However, this time we decided to venture out a little bit further and discover a 'new' beach called Playa de la Fossa. In this video about Calpe (which is already up on YouTube!), we walk from Calpe's Plaza Mayor all the way to the beach on the east side of town. We filmed some spectacular sights along the way, and also discovered where the marina of Calpe is (where excursions to other locations such as Benidorm, Moraira, and Alicante depart to / arrive from). Join us on this spectacular day in Calpe!
Some pictures we took:
The 'official' entrance to the beach: Playa de la Fossa!
The sea temperature was still too cold to swim, and hardly anyone on the beach
Some beautiful apartment buildings with a sea view!
Amazing to see the 'rock of Calpe' from a different angle.
We're taking you on a walk through the incredible village of Finestrat (pueblo) in the middle of winter! See what it's like to look out over the valley that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, or going through the narrow cobblestone streets. Also, we're taking a backroad (dirt path) that few people know about or have seen. This path goes along orange and lemon groves, with the village clearly visible in the background! Let's explore this rustic, quintessential Spanish village in the mountains! The video is now up on YouTube!
A few more pictures of that day:
A walk next to the lemon and orange groves of Finestrat village
Colorful houses in the middle of the village!
A place where the castle of Finestrat once stood... the remnants of the castle are still there (although inaccessible since it's underground!)

This time we're exploring a magical place called Sella, a very small village tucked away high in the mountains of Alicante. Oddly enough, a place we've never been to until now. We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the breathtaking views of the surroundings. In the distance, you can even see the sea on a clear day! We walked all the way to the 'Castillo de Santa Barbara', (not the one in Alicante, but Sella's Castillo shares the same name!), which was quite a climb up all those stairs... Certainly not for those with a fear of heights! Join us on our walk and get to experience what it's like to walk around the incredible village of Sella, Alicante!
Below are some more pictures of Sella on that gorgeous sunny day:
